Michael got his first taste of an F1 race at the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix, with Jordan, after he was asked to stand in for Bertrand Gachot. He impressed during qualifying to place himself seventh on the grid for the start. Unfortunately, he suffered clutch issues which saw him retire from the race. Nevertheless, his obvious talents were picked up by Benetton who then signed him for the remainder of the season. He would later become a double World Champion with the team (1994 and 1995), a five-time World Champion with Ferrari (2000 – 2004) and a seven-time World Champion overall.
This mini helmet symbolises the making of a legend, for it was this race weekend where he was first noticed for his talents, which would later make history.
