These three races saw the Alpine looking pretty in pink, with some commendable race results to go with them taking 8 points as a team in the opening two races. Gasly was having a superb race in the third round, the Australian GP, and looked set to take fifth place, when the red flag came out towards the end. The restart caused chaos to ensue which Gasly was caught out by and had a coming together with teammate Ocon – leading to a double DNF for Alpine.
