Oscar Piastri's Signed 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix Race-Used Helmet Sells for £52,051 on F1® Authentics

F1® Authentics collaborated with Oscar Piastri on this special auction lot in support of My Room Children's Cancer Charity. The McLaren F1® driver signed his official race-used helmet from the 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix, with all proceeds from the auction donated to the charity from his native Australia.

The auction raised £52,051, with every penny supporting My Room, the volunteer-led Australian children's cancer charity dedicated to supporting families impacted by cancer while funding vital services and research.

Race-used F1® driver helmets are incredibly rare collectibles, and this is especially true with Oscar Piastri, who does not usually make these items available for purchase. Signed by Piastri himself, this genuine race-used helmet represented an exceptional opportunity for collectors to own a significant piece from one of Formula 1®'s most exciting drivers.

The Bahrain Grand Prix marked the opening round of the 2024 Formula One season and the start of Piastri's second campaign with McLaren F1® Team. After finishing eighth and scoring points in Bahrain, the Australian went on to enjoy a breakthrough season, claiming his maiden Formula 1® victories at the Hungarian and Azerbaijan Grands Prix.

Featuring a striking blue, red and yellow design that paid homage to Piastri's Australian heritage, the helmet included his race number, #81, personal logo and signature styling, alongside sponsor branding integrated throughout the design.

The decision to donate the race-used helmet was made to raise funds for a cause close to Piastri's heart. Earlier in 2025, he became an ambassador for My Room, helping to support families affected by childhood cancer and fund vital research.

The signed helmet ultimately sold for £52,051 on F1® Authentics, raising significant funds for the charity while giving one collector the opportunity to own an exceptionally rare piece of Formula 1® memorabilia.
