The RB18 car was the 2022 season competitor for the Oracle Red Bull Racing F1 Team, which quickly proved itself to be one of the most successful race cars in F1 history. The race car dominated the tracks, winning seventeen of twenty-two races – fifteen of those with Verstappen behind the wheel.  

The 2022 season saw an introduction of new aerodynamic regulations – the RB18 did not start the season as the fastest on the tracks, however the designers of the car made slightly unconventional decisions which quickly paid off and were soon pioneering implementations, which were swiftly replicated by their opponents. After a difficult beginning to the season, with early retirement for both of the team’s drivers at the season opener in Bahrain – the RB18 came in full force with a race win for Verstappen in Saudi Arabia. The car was a success for the remainder of the season, with the car securing seventeen race wins, fifteen of those by Verstappen himself.  

This scale model replicates the one driven by Verstappen at the Dutch Grand Prix, the driver’s home track, where he started in pole position after a successful qualifying lap. Verstappen had a strong and assured race, remaining in first for the vast majority of the Grand Prix – he secured his thirtieth victory of his F1 career as well as the team’s eighty-sixth win. This marked an incredible achievement for the driver that is one worth celebrating.  

This model has been handcrafted by the Amalgam Collection and finished in their workshops utilising the original CAD data, finishes and paint codes supplied directly by Oracle Red Bull Racing. The completed prototype has undergone detailed scrutiny at the hands of the Oracle Red Bull Racing’s design and engineering departments to ensure complete accuracy of representation.
